"Cultural Humility in Practice - Beyond Competence to Justice-Oriented Care"
Presented by Sancler Andrade, OTD, MBA, OTR/L
Assistant Professor, Pacific University
In this workshop, participants are invited to move beyond traditional notions of cultural competence and explore how cultural humility fosters therapeutic relationships and helps address power imbalances between clients and practitioners. Grounded in principles of occupational justice and informed by real-world practice examples, this course offers practical strategies for incorporating cultural humility in everyday clinical decisions.
This event will support completion of the "OAR 339-020-0025 CE in Cultural Competency" requirement for the current renewal cycle per the Oregon Occupational Therapy Licensing Board.
